These movements have reignited curiosity regarding the identity of Bitcoin’s enigmatic creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. An upcoming documentary titled “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery” is scheduled for release on October 8, and it promises to provide insights into Nakamoto’s identity.

The late American computer scientist Len Sassaman is a prominent figure under consideration to be Nakamoto, as indicated by betting odds related to the documentary. Sassaman, who was respected within the cypherpunk community, passed away on July 3, 2011, shortly after Nakamoto had indicated a departure from involvement in Bitcoin.

Intriguingly, a tribute to Sassaman was embedded into Block 138,725 of the Bitcoin blockchain. Despite speculation, the true link between Sassaman and Bitcoin remains ambiguous. Notably, he had previously expressed concerns regarding Bitcoin’s privacy features and its lack of protection against fraud.
